Photoshop right? Nope. One photo by Bela Borsodi. See how it’s done here After studying graphic design and fine art Bela started to work as a photographer. In 1992 he moved to New York and in 1999 focused on still life photography, which is still the main direction of his work. Bela lives and works in New York.
D&AD silver winner and a very worthy one too by my friends over at Leo Burnetts.
Was at The Old Market in Brighton again recently to hear Hamish Makgill – an ex colleague of my old friend and founder of Red Design Ed Templeton (often confused with the famous skater and artist of the same name from Toy Machine) I worked there a bit and my daughter also did a short internship. Hamish designed the logo for one of my favourite shops http://www.thelollipopshoppe.co.uk
My friend Moyra Scott talked me into hosting Likemind the other day, I met yet more interesting and friendly people there.
I went to see a talk by Brian Grimwood one of my 80’s heroes, strangely he walked in and ‘recognised’ me but we’ve never worked together.
It must have been at some London function or at my old agency. However he had worked directly with my old friend Peter Harold
who i invited along for the evening. Brian was kind enough to give me a signed copy of his excellent book.
My old boss Sir John Hegarty wrote the copy on the back.
My old haunt The Old Market yet again this time to present the backstory to my Skate brand to 100 plus people. It’s soon the have an exciting new facelift and product range…
